On a mission for more.

It all started when…

Midwesterner by birth, Iowan by choice, I moved to Des Moines after graduating from college, because who doesn’t dream of moving to Iowa?

Wells Fargo brought me here, but I’ve stayed thanks to the vibrant community, lovely people, and boundless opportunity. John F. Kennedy famously quoted Luke 12:48 in saying, “For of those to whom much is given, much is required,” and it is my responsibility to give back to the Des Moines community.

Growing my career with Wells Fargo over the past 12 years, I served as communication partner to four executives and led multiple global communication, marketing, and technology change management projects. I have been honored with Service Excellence and Team Excellence awards, was named a Des Moines Business Record Forty Under 40, and was a Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa Inspiring Women of Iowa honoree.

Driven by my purpose to enable others to act as their true, authentic selves to achieve their goals and dreams, I serve my community as a Dallas Center City Councilwoman, focused on responsible growth and community equity. Prior to this role, I served on the Friends of the Dallas Center Pool board. I am also involved with multiple other organizations, including the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, Relevé professional women’s organization, the IMT Des Moines Marathon, Lutheran Church of Hope, and others.

Holding a bachelor’s degree from Hope College and a master’s degree from the University of Iowa, I was one of forty University of Iowa students selected for the school’s LeaderShape class of 2020 and graduated with a 4.0 grade point average. I am also a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute’s Community Connect and Community Leadership programs and earned certificates in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the University of South Florida.

My husband, daughters, fluffy rescue dog, sassy cat, and I live in Dallas Center, Iowa. Our favorite things to do as a family include camping, taking walks, kayaking, and having dance parties and Mario Kart competitions.
